ONNECTED project seeks to digitise, connect and enable the communication of all equipment in the HORECA and Industrial Laundry sector in a cybersecure manner. Supported by AI and Big Data, manufacturers can now incorporate sensors, software and wireless connectivity to add new features to their products and differentiate them in the market.
The project ONNECTED aims to digitise the HORECA and industrial laundry sector by generating new services based on data intelligence of an IoT platform.
Funded by the Department of Economic Development and Infrastructures of the Basque Government ( Hazitek 2021 programme), the project covers data connectivity, communication of things and the securitisation of data for new business areas within the HORECA and Industrial Laundry sectors.
Advances in Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) devices, predictive analytics are transforming the industrial sector. Manufacturers can now incorporate sensors, software and wireless connectivity to add new features to their products and differentiate them in the market.
The ONNECTED project seeks to digitise, connect and enable the communication of all equipment in the HORECA and Industrial Laundry sector in a cyber-secure manner, in order to transform the machine sales business into a service sales business.
Cyber-secure connectivity of hospitality and laundry equipment for digital business transformation and post-COVID recovery, supported by AI and Big Data.
This project is based on the creation of a new ecosystem to create the smart kitchen of the future and the autonomous laundry; made up of companies from the industrial sector, technology companies and agents from the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network, which bring together the knowledge to respond to the various technical developments.
The result of the knowledge and technological advances generated, will end up in the servitization of the machines and the making machines smarter. This project will also help to generate knowledge, new products and new jobs in the Basque Country.
It is undeniable that the conjunction of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence will revolutionise the industrial sector, generating new business models based on the information that can be exploited by connecting different products together.
